My Sad Horrible Birthday
Ok, so maybe it wasn't horrible. But I was really loking forward to my birthday. I had taken the day off and Robbie had plans to take me to a nice lunch and then we were going to spend the day together.
The day before my birthday was beautiful. Then at 5:30am on my birthday I woke up to the phone, it was the emergency line for the school. School had been cancelled, it was a snow day. Usually that's a great thing because it means no work for me, I get a free day. However I was particularly bummed since it was my birthday and it looked like this outside. Robbie called later to say that there was no way we could get together for lunch. The power was out at the farm (and about 2000 other places around) and there was no way he was getting done anytime soon. So of course I did what any bratty kid would do in that situation, I pouted and began to feel sorry for myself. Robbie did end up coming over later, but he had to leave early since his power was still out. It's a good thing he did though, because the storm actually got worse as the night went on. We ended up having another snow day the next day. Now in all fairness I do have to say that everyone really did try to make it a great birthday for me. My family had sent packages with all sorts of goodies for me and Wendy sent me a balloon bouquet, she had sent a gift late and wanted to make sure I had something on my actual birthday. I really am such a spoiled brat. I think it was just one of those times were nothing was going to make me feel better. I got calls from a lot of people and I really had some thoughtful gifts.
Well the story isn't all that bad, I did get out of my mood by the end of the week and I actually had a very nice belated birthday. SO now you all know what a brat I am. I tell you, I never want to be that bratty again. Poor Poor me!!!!
Belated Halloween Picture
So I thought I'd do a belated Halloween post.
Doesn't Robbie look Horrible? I love it! He remindes me of an old hippie!
We did have a fun night though. I made worms out of jello - they looked so real, they even jiggled. Then we had dip with a carrot hand (almond slices as fingernails) sticking up out of it. And for dinner we had stuffed pizza in the shape of a snake. It was fun.
