Well I am back to work after a very nice very long Thanksgiving break. I got 5 days off. The sad thing is that I still don't feel like being at work. But it's not so bad.
Thanksgiving was nice. It ended up just being the Elders, Robbie and me. But it was good none the less. Robbie and i had invited 10 people, most of them his family members. But as usual they didn't show. That part doesn't bother me so much as the fact that they never let us know if they were coming or not. About 2 weeks before Thanksgiving we made the invite, and then we waited and waited to hear. He asked them almost everyday what their plans were, but of course they just skirted around the whole thing. So not know what was going to happen, I just made dinner for 12, knowing that they probably wouldn't show. I was correct once again. I made a 20 pound turkey that four of us ate. But oh well what are you going to do. That's Robbie's family for you. How did he turn out so good? He really is amazing, especially when you consider where he comes from. He sure is great.
I enjoyed my time off last week. After Thanksgiving was over, it was down with fall decorations and up with Christmas. I spent all day Friday decorating for Christmas. By time Robbie came over Friday night my house was completely transformed. I just love this time of year. There is nothing better then sitting in my house with the Christmas lights on and realizing just how blessed I really am. I love living here and I love Robbie. I do miss all my friends and Family, but I know I'm where I should be. This whole experience has made me realize that I can go anywhere and do anything, so I long as I have Robbie by my side. He is wonderful!
